<h2>Randy Cowling, your candidate for Oklahoma's 2nd Senate District!</h2><h5><span style="color: var(--color-text-accent-primary); text-decoration-color: var(--color-text-accent-primary);">Randy Cowling is a lifelong servant-leader, community advocate, and Democratic candidate for Oklahoma State Senate District 2. With decades of experience serving the people of northeast Oklahoma, Randy brings a proven record of compassion, integrity, and action to his campaign.</span></h5><p>As the Executive Director of Owasso Community Resources (OCR), Randy dedicated himself to ensuring that no family in his community goes without. Under his leadership, OCR served 300 families each week — providing fresh produce, meat, and essential groceries to 50 to 70 families every single day. <span style="color: var(--color-text-accent-secondary); text-decoration-color: var(--color-text-accent-secondary);"><strong style="color: var(--color-text-accent-secondary); text-decoration-color: var(--color-text-accent-secondary);">His mission is simple and deeply personal: "I just have a heart for people and want to make sure that we can take care of our neighbors."</strong></span></p><p>Before leading OCR, Randy spent years as a journalist and editor, giving voice to the communities of northeast Oklahoma. He served as Editor of the Claremore Daily Progress and as Managing Editor for the Owasso Reporter, Catoosa Times, Collinsville News, and Skiatook Journal — news outlets that are the backbone of Rogers and Tulsa County communities.</p><p>Randy's education and deep roots in the community ground his commitment to public service. He holds a Bachelor of Arts from Southwest Baptist University, a Master of Divinity, and a Doctor of Ministry from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.</p><p>Born at Fort Hood Army Base, Randy has lived across the country, with the last 22 years here in Owasso. He is married to Pamela Dunlap, father to two adult daughters, and grandfather of six.</p><h5>Randy Cowling isn't a career politician; he's a neighbor, a journalist, and a tireless advocate for working families. Now he's ready to take that same heart for people to the Oklahoma State Senate.</h5>

<p>Randy will always stand up for our public schools by increasing classroom funding and working to restore and protect critical funding for summer feeding programs, ensuring children and families can continue to rely on this essential support even when school is out.</p>

<p><strong>Too many working families are struggling to make ends meet. </strong>We need to increase access to affordable housing by partnering with developers. Support local farmers and strengthen food systems by incentivizing donations of fresh produce to food banks. Require emergency food pantries in every elementary and high school so families have support when they need it most</p>

<p><strong>We must do more to protect victims and hold offenders accountable. </strong>I'll fight to strengthen sentencing laws to protect victims and their families, including by enforcing restraining orders more rigorously. I support policies that provide 6–12 months of free or subsidized counseling for survivors. Increase access to safe, confidential shelters</p>

<p><strong>Oklahomans shouldn’t be trapped in cycles of debt trying to put food on the table.</strong> I will work to eliminate predatory payday lending practices that target working families. I will fight to promote fair financial protections and responsible lending policies.</p>
